So what would a business need a photographer for? well that will vary a bit with the type of business, but every business in the 21st century needs to be, at least, telling the world they exist and who they are. The simplest and easiest (and cheapest…) way to start is social media: Linked In, Twitter, FaceBook…
So what's the first thing a possible client will see if they look at your profile in one of those? that's right, a picture! about the size of a postage stamp, but a picture none the less, and one with a very important role, creating that vital first impression.
So what should that picture be of? well it could be a logo, and if you have an established brand and a recognizable logo that could be the way to go. If not, if you are a small business, just starting, then the first thing to consider is that people buy from people!
So now what do you think the picture should be of? Yes? you! so have you got a great, business like, picture that will still hold its impact when reduced to a thumbnail? then you are good to go…
In the more likely scenario, you will be one of the majority who say… but I look terrible in pictures… I’m thin/fat/balding/wrinkled/got big ears/wonky eyes/flat hair/pimples etc etc etc, you name I’ve heard it!
So what are you going to do about it? well, the same as you do for any other aspect of your business that needs to be done right, accounts, design, building work, branding, HR, IT and so on, you hire a professional!
This is one I prepared earlier, Personal trainer Alex Kenchington of AOK Fitness, are you going to do what he tells you? I am…
